When I look out my window, I see beautiful birds chirping. I see the sunshine as if to say “Welcome to my domain’.
I see, rather, I feel the wind howling against my window.
I find myself in awe of nature and the natural world.
It’s where I, rather we, belong. In my mind, there are lush forests and gardens bursting into life. Moreover, there are all sorts of flora and fauna and animals living side by side, examples of peaceful coexistence.
But what is vivid in my memory is the wind --- in one way invisible – and the other intimate.
The wind which makes the trees move, and the leaves shiver. It transcends time and space. The wind makes us human: to feel, smell, hear, and to be surrounded with kindness to nature.
And this beyond the winds of time.
