Amy deRidder
Amy deRidder is an audit and assurance partner in the Ottawa office of Deloitte Canada. She has served public and privately owned technology companies in the Ottawa area for over 20 years, including venture capital and private equity backed companies. She has also worked with multi-national Canadian companies with domestic and international operations, including working with global teams in ten other countries.
Amy has extensive experience auditing companies reporting under IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the U.S.), and providing accounting, audit and business advisory services to public and private companies in a variety of industries. Amy also has experience advising clients on public disclosure documents, development of internal controls, application of appropriate accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
Born and raised in Ottawa, Amy’s parents immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands in the 1950s.
Amy received her Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University and was recognized with a Senate medal for outstanding academic achievement. She enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and five cats, and likes to play tennis and practice yoga.
