Domenic Ielo
Domenic "Dom" Ielo is the Executive Director of programs for adults with serious and persistent mental illnesses, those with dual diagnoses, geriatric psychiatry, Royal Ottawa Place Long-Term Care, and Clinical Informatics. He provides leadership and strategic direction to ensure comprehensive and effective services for these populations.
Dom is passionate about organizational growth and innovation within the mental health and substance use sector.
In his recent role as CEO of Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville Addictions and Mental Health (LLGAMH), he developed a comprehensive strategic plan, secured significant funding for facility improvements, and enhanced employee engagement.
Prior to his tenure at LLGAMH, Domenic served as the Director of Patient Care Services for the Integrated Schizophrenia and Recovery Program. Before that, he was the Clinical Director for mental health, critical care, connected care, and professional practice at Queensway Carleton Hospital.
Domenic holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is pursuing an MBA. A dedicated advocate for mental health, he has served on various advisory boards and actively participates in community initiatives aimed at reducing stigma.
Domenic's leadership is characterized by compassion, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to improving the lives of those affected by mental illness.
