City of Ottawa - Essential Health and Social Supports – The Essential Health and Social Supports program is available to people with a low income and limited assets. The program provides financial help for health-related items, such as prescription drugs, eyeglasses, dental care, diabetic supplies, incontinence supplies, bathroom aids, respiratory supplies, and mobility devices.

Lifestyle Enrichment for Senior Adults (LESA) – Lifestyle Enrichment for Senior Adults (LESA) is a substance abuse and problem gambling counselling service for seniors offered across the City of Ottawa. Support is provided for men and women aged 55 and older who are concerned about their alcohol or drug use or problem gambling. Services include community workshops; in-home visits; groups; outings; seniors’ problem gambling support line that is anonymous, confidential, and free.
