Leveraging Lived Expertise to Bring Research to the Next Level
Overview
The University of Ottawa’s Institute for Mental Health Research (IMHR) at The Royal is pleased to invite you to participate in our Client-Oriented Research Panel Discussion as part of Research Week 2021.
Our experts will be speaking to the importance and impact of including those with lived expertise in the research process, and the power of bringing clients and families to the table as co-investigators.
The Royal is looking towards a future of client-centred care through co-creation and integration, ultimately improving research and care outcomes. This is being done through the establishment of the Client-Oriented Research Committee, led by panelists Michele Langlois and Peter Winfield, and through the execution of studies through the lens of lived expertise as exampled by Dr. Michael Seto.
