Overview

This Community Mental Health Program family information and support session is open to family caregivers who reside in Ontario.

The family sessions are geared towards the family caregivers’ coping, mental health and wellness within the context of supporting a loved one, rather than focusing on the individual they care about.

This special session is an open discussion hosted by Dr. Timothy Moran, psychiatrist, and Dr. Philip Grandia, psychologist, of The Royal’s Community Mental Health Program. Dr. Moran and Dr. Grandia will provide a brief 10-minute presentation on their most frequent recommendations to family members and natural supports regarding how to best foster recovery for their loved one. The remainder of the session will be spent answering your questions related to how you can support the work of psychiatrists and psychologists providing care to your loved one.

In addition to a live question and answer period during the session, Dr. Moran and Dr. Grandia welcome your questions in advance in preparation for the session. Submit your questions when registering for the Zoom session.
