Overview

The Royal’s Integrated Forensic Program delivers specialized mental health care for individuals with mental health challenges who have come into contact with the criminal justice system. The Royal provides assessment and treatment services, both for inpatients and outpatients, to improve clients’ mental health and reduce the risk of reoffending.

This event brings together two perspectives: an individual with lived experience in the forensic system, and a family member with lived experience supporting a loved one through the forensic system. Together, we can deepen our understanding of managing mental health challenges, providing support, and explore what it means to work towards living in wellness, as determined by a former client and family member.
