One person’s trash is another person’s treasure...

It’s time to kick up that spring cleaning! The Royal Ottawa Young Professionals Network (ROYPN), is hosting a virtual garage sale to raise money for mental health care and research at The Royal. We need your treasures!

I’m in! How does it work?

Similar to the popular Kijji platform, you upload photos of your items to the Giveshop website. Proceeds from the sale of your items will support The Royal and you’ll receive a tax receipt for your good deed! 

See below for a step-by-step guide.

When can I start?

May 20 – June 2: Upload your items.
June 3 – June 23: Shop! Swipe through available items and make an offer!

Please respect all current pandemic restrictions when picking up purchased items or delivering sold items.

Step-by-step Guide

1. Visit www.giveshop.ca OR download the Giveshop app on your mobile device.
    
2. Click on 'GIVE'.
    
3. You will now be prompted to log in or create an account.
   
   If you are creating an account:
   - Choose 'Royal Ottawa Foundation for Mental Health' as your preferred charity.
   - Check your email to activate your account.
   - Refresh the www.giveshop.ca page then click 'GIVE'.
    
4. Now that you are logged in, click 'GIVE' then choose The Royal’s Virtual Garage Sale from the CAMPAIGN dropdown menu (on the app you will have to choose the campaign toggle button to release the dropdown). Click 'next.'
    
5. Upload or take photos of your items and create a description.
    
6. Click 'Post'.
