On Wednesday, Nov. 6, the Royal Ottawa Foundation, in recognition of its 40th anniversary, distributed awards to 40 leaders from the Ottawa community who have made a significant, volunteer, contribution to the growth and success of the Royal Ottawa Foundation. It was not an easy task to narrow down the list of volunteers to 40. The Royal Foundation has benefitted from the support and contributions of thousands of volunteers. In selecting who to honour on our 40th anniversary, we looked to who made exceptional contributions. We looked to people who helped take the Royal from the shadows and into the spotlight. We looked for leaders who took the initiative before it was popular. We looked at people who have sustained their support over many years.
