The Royal Ottawa Health Care Group (ROHCG) is proud to announce that Anne Graham has been appointed Chair of the Board of Trustees.

Formerly Vice-Chair of the Board, Anne brings a wealth of strategic and hands-on experience in human resources and organizational development. Currently Vice-President, Human Resources at Pythian, Anne is known as a results-oriented leader with experience in strategic planning, organizational change, performance management, and business strategies — in short, developing people solutions to effect business change.

Anne is looking forward to helping The Royal realize its vision as a hospital without walls, creating a future in which mental health care:

  • meets people where they are;
  • works in harmony with other aspects of health and community; and
  • includes game-changing research at the front lines of patient care.

“I am delighted to accept this important role as Chair, and to help continue the great work already under way to expand community services and build our partnerships with other community resources. While inpatient care will always be an important and necessary part of the mental health system, we are looking beyond the hospital to help people where they live, work and access other health services,” says Anne.

“Partnerships and collaboration are key to providing community-based services. When we work together —sometimes leading, sometimes supporting, but always collaborating — we all thrive. Our vision of a hospital without walls means tearing down silos and encouraging connections between clinical care and research for the benefit of our patients and their families.”

Speaking on behalf of the staff and management, The Royal’s President and CEO Dr. Joanne Bezzubetz expressed delight at the announcement: “I’ve seen the positive impact that community-focused services can have on an individual, and I am confident in Anne’s ability to help steer the ROHCG into the next decade.”
