COVID-19 survey results shine a light on pandemic mental health, substance use, sleep, and more

A research team led by Dr. Rébecca Robillard of the University of Ottawa Institute for Mental Health Research at The Royal conducted an online survey of 5,525 Canadians during the early phase of the pandemic. Although analysis of the survey results is still underway, researchers are sharing summaries of the findings in easy-to-view graphic format.

“It is very clear by now that the COVID-19 pandemic had widespread impacts on many aspects of life,” says Robillard. “In the early stages of the pandemic, we partnered with a large team of scientists across multiple disciplines to investigate different aspects of this crisis. We are extremely grateful for all the people who took the time to complete this survey, many of whom kept us informed at different stages of the pandemic.”
