The annual list, released by Research Infosource, highlights research spending and intensity at leading Canadian research hospitals.

The IMHR, affiliated with the University of Ottawa, has had a surge of growth this year, recruiting world-renowned researchers in exciting new areas of mental health research – all with a focus on major depression and related conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, and work and mental health.

“Our researchers are the future of mental health research and care,” says Dr. Merali. “We need to conduct ground-breaking research and discover new treatments if we are going to defeat mental illness.”
