Women’s BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) Groups

The Women’s Mental Health Program at The Royal is proud to offer the following two groups for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour) women.
This free online group (hosted via Zoom) is a peer-led way for BIPOC women – and people who identify as women – to express themselves through the act of journaling. Over nine weekly sessions, participants will learn about the benefits of journaling and be lead through topics such as: making connections; expanding one's emotional vocabulary; letter writing; gratitude; self-esteem journaling; creative journaling, and evaluation. Emphasis will be on the experiences of BIPOC women and participants will have the option of sharing weekly writing assignments. Tools needed include pen & paper, email, and Zoom access. Space is limited to 18 participants.
Tuesdays from 2:30–4 p.m.

This free online wellness group (hosted via Zoom) is a peer-led way for BIPOC women – and people who identify as women – to come together for check-ins with each other about how their week is going. This is an open group, and folks are welcome to drop-in as it makes sense for them. Common themes include support of one another, building commonalities, sharing of resources, and safe space discussions.
Wednesdays from noon–1 p.m.
